In my work with Kara in Palo Alto (Grief counseling agency), the Addictions Institute, the Camden Center (treatment for anxiety and addiction) and Abilities United (serving the disabled population), I have had the privilege of working with many diverse populations.
Whether steering through the painful waters of grief, reintegrating after addiction treatment, bridging the gap between teens and adults, or helping couples navigate changing phases of life, I bring years of experience as well as evidence-based interventions to my work.
APPROACH
While I am a certified DBT therapist, my approach is psychodynamic, and I often draw from a variety of theoretical practices that include Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral, attachment, neuroscience and trauma informed. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of honor, respect, and reverence. Being a human being is not an easy job and having an experienced therapist to support your healing journey can bring back the joy you may be missing.
